Caprigon Adopt and Sale rules
As this species is still new, I want to add some limits on the ability to profit off of my species and to avoid overpopulation of them. I may lift some of these restrictions later on.
These rules only apply to digital art and products! Any physical merch has a separate ruleset.
Adopts
~ Please do not sell adopts for more than $100 UNLESS one of the following: It comes with a 3 sided, multi-detail ref sheet, multiple pieces of art, or physical items. If you are making single- or duo-view adopts and want to sell over $100, I would request some type of royalties or at the very least ask permission. This rule will be removed in the future
~ All characters need to follow the species guidelines. If it doesn't, and it is called a caprigon, you risk being blacklisted from any communities I create as well as my fursuit services.. You are more than welcome to DM Melcaara to ask if something follows the guide.
~ Please try to avoid characters that look too similar. You MAY create designs based on media or products like drinks, or animals; but this may result in similar characters. I am stricter with OCs that look like Eros, Sol, or Johann. The species doesn't have restricted traits, but if I start getting clones of them I'll implement some rules.
Non-adopt Sales
~ Other than the royalty fee for high dollar adopts, I don't restrict sales/commissions much.
~ I do not allow P2U bases at this time without permission or a fee, as it can be sold over and over again for profit without any extra work. You MAY make F2U bases, or make a base for personal use and ref commissions. You just cannot sell an uncolored base lineart.
~ There is no regulation on commissions and unique products. YCH's are allowed, as you (the artist) color them in for each individual character. Price them however you want too, there's no royalty on OOAK pieces, only adopts.
Reselling of characters
~ I ultimately cannot control what happens to characters, but I will request that caprigon adopts are not upsold/flipped. If I find someone buying adopts to resell for a higher price I will blacklist that user from Kemoyagi and any caprigon community events. This is specifically if someone bought an adopt for, say, $20, and then resold the same adopt as-is for $50
~ Of course, that does not mean you have to always resell for what you bought it for. If you've added any value (art, story, suits, etc), it's worth more! If you draw art yourself that counts as adding value! I just don't someone profiting off of another's work without doing anything themselves
~ I do not regulate reselling of characters otherwise. It is up to the buyers and sellers to make sure it fits the guidelines and is not stolen or copied.
